Limitations of Composer Free and Unlicensed Players

    Overview

Composer Free and all unlicensed versions of Player possess a small number of limitations.

All limitations are eliminated through the activation of paid licenses. NOTE: Both Composer and Player must be licensed for removal of Player limitations.

    Limitations of Composer Free

Users of Composer Free will encounter the following limitations:

    1. Watermark
      • Located in the lower right-hand corner of a running experience.

    2. Play Mode Limit
      • Play Mode is limited to 8 minutes. A countdown timer will appear when 30 seconds remain. Upon timeout, the following pop-up message will appear.

    3. Need to be Online
      • A live Internet connection is required every time Play Mode is started and every time project changes are saved.

    4. Reminder Window
      • Starting on the eighth day of use (not necessarily consecutive days), a Reminder Window will appear every time Play Mode is started or changes are saved.
      • For exceptional circumstances, the Reminder Window can be suppressed for specific IntuiFace accounts.

    5. Forced Update 15 Days After Each New Release
      • 15 days after a new version of Composer is released, Composer Free users must upgrade to that version. The previous version of Composer will cease to work

    6. Restriction to usage of Composer Free and unlicensed Player
      • Experiences created using Composer Free can only be opened by other instances of Composer Free or unlicensed installations of Player. Composer Essential/Premier/Enterprise and paid Players cannot open Composer Free experiences.
      • EXCEPTION: If Composer Free is licensed to become Essential/Premier/Enterprise, any experience edited on the same PC using Composer Free can be opened.

    7. Absence of Features Unique to Composer Premier and Enterprise

    Limitations of Unlicensed Players

An unlicensed version of Player for Windows is only available if using the share-by-URL feature. On all other supported platforms, Player can be downloaded from that platform's associated app store or from here on our Downloads page.

Limitations of Unlicensed Players on all platforms

Users of unlicensed Players - across all supported platforms - will encounter the following limitations:

    1. Watermark
      • Located in the lower right-hand corner of a running experience.

    2. Need to be Online
      • A live Internet connection is required in order to play an experience.

    3. Restriction to Composer Free
      • Unlicensed Players can only open experiences created using Composer Free.

Additional Limitation of Unlicensed Player for Kiosks and Player for Tablets

Unlicensed Player for Kiosks and Player for Tablets can only store one experience on their device. When a new experience is downloaded, the previously downloaded experience is deleted.
